My background

Hi, I’m Kat.
I’ve always had a heart for tending and befriending—people, places, even tiny forgotten corners of the world. But for much of my early life, I didn’t quite know how to offer that same care to myself.

Through childhood, adolescence, and into young adulthood, I moved through deep struggles with my mental, emotional, and physical health—especially with eating disorders. My healing journey has been layered and nonlinear, but along the way, I’ve found pockets of peace and restoration in practices like yoga, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and the gentle art of embodiment.

These tools have helped me come home to myself—and now I offer them to others with softness, presence, and deep respect for the path you're on.

Since 2018 I’ve had the privilege of sharing yoga, mindfulness, and embodiment practices with individuals and groups across many levels of eating disorder care. I currently work in PHP and IOP settings supporting others as they reconnect with their bodies in meaningful, compassionate ways.

My work is rooted in the belief that the body is not the enemy—but a resource, a guide, and a place we can gently learn to call home. My hope is to walk alongside you, offering tools to support your healing and helping you befriend your body, one breath, one moment at a time.

In addition, I also offer recovery mentorship—personalized, day-to-day support grounded in lived experience and professional care. Whether we're sharing a meal, navigating a grocery aisle, or moving through hard conversations, mentorship creates a steady, compassionate presence in the often-invisible parts of recovery. Together, we’ll explore your goals, honor your rhythms, and make space for growth that feels rooted and real.

What are "Somatic Movement, Mindfulness, and Embodiment Practices"?
Somatic and embodiment practices are methods that focus on cultivating awareness of your physical body sensations to promote self-regulation, connection to the present moment, and deeper self-understanding, essentially using the body as a tool for healing and personal growth; "somatic" refers to the body, and embodiment means actively inhabiting and experiencing your physical self.
What is Recovery Mentorship?
A recovery mentor is someone who walks beside you on your healing journey—offering lived experience, practical support, and compassionate guidance through the ups and downs of eating disorder recovery.

Whether you're navigating meals, shopping for clothes, or building body trust, a recovery mentor brings support into real-life moments that can feel overwhelming. With a blend of professional training, personal insight, and collaborative care, mentorship can help bridge the gap between therapy sessions and everyday life—making recovery more accessible, sustainable, and connected.
